Set Standards for yourself!

Wadup,

I’m just got up and planning to go to Amsterdam later in the day, but before I go I wanted to write a quick little blog. Lately I haven’t been working out as much as I must and that brought me to the topic I’m presenting to you today which is called standards.

Let me ask you are you happy with your life and I don’t mean contempt, but happy?  This blog is for the people who have goals, but still wander why their lives aren’t the way they envisioned it when they were young. You were working hard, but then life happened. Thoughts started popping in your head like I don’t have time for this, I’m too tired to do this right now and the most dangerous one I could do it if I wanted to. Let me tell you right now you can’t!

When thoughts like this pop up into your head and you act upon them you are a in some way’s a slave to your emotions and because emotions come in waves you lack consistency in your actions. So if you want to achieve something despite having emotions that won’t help you achieve them you need something more, you need something that is incorruptible and everlasting you need  Batman! Just kidding! You need personal standards. Standards are actions, methods, habits etc established by yourself that you see as acceptable. When you have personal standards everything you see as something you should do will become a must because anything lower than your standard is not acceptable.

Everything you have in your life right now is a result of your personal standards. The friends you hang out with, the relationships you are in, your financial situation, your health it’s all a result of your personal standards.

So ask yourself what standards have you accepted for yourself in departments of your life like health, relationships, career and your spirituality and also ask yourself why. If they don’t line up with the goals you have in your life raise them.

Below I got a video that is a bonus for the blog.

That is it for today see you in two weeks.

Peace!

Pro-activity: The art of embracing everything and following through!

Wadup guys,

I’m super exited at the moment I just got my hands on adobe premiere and it’s installing now as I’m writing this. Just the idea of shooting vlogs and editing them from my personal computer is getting me pumped up. If everything works out I’m going to posting a horrible video with this blog where I stumble on my words, choake every twenty seconds and even mix concepts up and I’m doing this all because of today’s subject Pro-activity a.k.a. the art of embracing everything and still going forward.

Two years ago I was working on a project and I was kind behind the rest of the group which caused me to have to spend a lot more nights working on my project than the rest of my group. After one of my presentations for the project one my teacher came up to me and asked me if I was the type that let things just come to me and handled them then instead of nipping it in the butt. Back then I didn’t really realized what she was trying to say because she was in a hurry, but now that I think about it she was talking about not being pro-active enough in situations where I need to be adaptable. When something needed to change in the process of making a project and I didn’t know what to do I would just mope around instead of embracing the fact that something changed and move on.

If you’re not satisfied with the way your life is now this one of the most essential trades you have to possess. A lot of people complain about the situation they’re in or blame it on others, but if you think about it how does that help to improve the situation. Even if others have the blame for your situation it is important to embrace it and move on. This is also the reason a lot of people say stuff like everybody that is rich must have done something illegal in the past. The act of being pro-active means putting in willpower and changing who you are is difficult so it’s easier to just blame other peoples fortune on things like that. Embracing everything also applies to non-tangible things like emotions. Next time you’re in a position that’s not in your favor instead of complaining about it think what could I do to improve this situation.  If you strive to master the art of embracing everything a whole lot of things you wouldn’t think are possible become possible.

In the spirit of embracing everything I’m going to put vid underneath this blog containing one of the bloopers of the first vblogs I ever shot.

Enjoy
